Jordan’s boys team had an easy win today over Sri Lanka clinching 11th place on the last day of the 16th Asian Junior Team Championship in Seoul, South Korea. Ahmad Al Saraj beat Ravindu Laksiri 3-1 (13-15, 11-4, 11-4, 11-8) and Hamza Alzubaidi downed Vinduranga Udantha 3-0 (11-8, 12-10, 11-6). With Jordan leading 2-0 in matches, Al Khasawneh did not have to play.
The real action today took place on the center all-glass court as two finals were staged. In the girls’ final, India played Hong Kong China. Hong Kong won the first match but conceded the second one. The third and decisive match was closely fought but was finally won by India,
In the men’s final, Pakistan was able to down India 2-0 to win the championship. Both teams were crowned in the presence of the newly elected ASF president David Mui from Hong Kong.
