The Kingdom’s Jordan Squash Open in the category Boys under 13 started yesterday 23rd August 2012 at Al Hassan Squash Center in the capital city of Amman – Jordan with 9 players who are between the ages of 11 and 13 years in addition to the player Abdulrahman Mohammed Alsaraj current Boys under 11 Champion.
The tournament is the second this year in a series of tournaments for different age groups in the Kingdom. This comes after the completion of the Boys under 11 championship, which took place in the Holy Month of Ramadan, where the rest of the categories to be scheduled before the end of the current year.
Tournament director Mr. Amin Messayeh announced that the players will compete in a Round Robin Draw to provide an opportunity to play as many games as possible (9 each) and he explained that the serious competition between the players involved will have a significant impact in raising their technical level of the game as an opportunity for the training staff to monitor the performance of the players
and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses.
The squash player of the Orthodox Club Amman Abdulqadir Jeitan is the current number one seed of the tournament and strongest candidate to win the title but he will face great resistance from the rest of the other players aspiring to win and give their best aiming for higher ranking positions for their national and club teams.
