Monthly Trainings Group Review (April’12)

It was a rather successful April 2012. After all 3 of my core training group succeeded in obtaining medals and money prices although some may see or place them as lucky winners. I do not believe in luck anyway as a symbol of winning or achievements but think that every thing in life that is well thought and planed will bring best results in addition to hard work. Some match video results will follow later on. So keep up to date with our site and follow us.

Let us consider my training group players from their age categories starting with the youngest:

Omar Hassanat (6years):
He is doing very well and progress is just a matter of time. Omar loves coming to the training and would explode in tears if his father or mother tried to keep him away for a day because of some exams. So I am very proud of him being beeing part of my trainings group at the Jordan Squash Federation.

Abdulrahman Sarraj (8years):
The boy is well talented in understanding the game and getting better with every single day. He played his first tournament and participated at the Jordan Junior Open 2012 in the age category under 11 and won the special plate medal after loosing only one game against his fellow opponent from Jordan Ahmad Hdaib. His body is still a bit week physically and he has a rather thin bone formation than others in his age group but this could change with years.

Rahaf Hassanat (8years):
She is developing well and taking control of her feelings on court step by step after we excluded her 10 year old sister from training with her at the same time and court. This appeared to be a very positive decision as her behavior progressively switched.  Let see if this stays for longer time! I  addition, we are controlling her grip and concentrating on good footwork movement and basic skills to enforce a solid field for her future game.

Hamza Sarraj (10years):
Similar to his younger brother Abdulrahman, he’s also achieved some surprising results at the Jordan Junior Open 2012 after beating number one seeded Abdelqader Aljeitan and for the first time ever, which some may see as by chance! Hamza reached his first final in the boys under 13 in his first appearance in a bigger tournament and got defeated by the much more experienced Ibrahim Abulaban, also from Jordan. He has some severe basic work that need to be fixed to be capable of achieving real results in the future like court movements and footwork strikes!

Alaa Hdaib (16years):
She achieved 3rd place at the Jordan Junior Open 2012 and earned her first price money. Her game is showing nice improvement since two months as she continues to train consistently for 3 days a week. Few even tried to write her off the game for some reasons or other but she is ambitious to fight for a better position reaching her targets of being number one female player in Jordan and maybe beyond. She needs to work very hard though to reach or even get near such a position while there is some heavy competition around her in Jordan like Sura Mansi, Yara & Zeena Hamadah.

Ola Bali (16years):
She has one of the hardest shots ever seen in woman squash in Jordan with enormous swing and power. What she still needs is basic work improvement on her strikes and movement to be be really able to compete against her co and team partners. She is big and has good reach to the ball but still lacks of solid basic development as she never trained on regular basis like nearly all the female players in Jordan because of this new development in this sector comparing it to other countries in the Arab world. But she still has strong belief in herself and her possibilities of achieving better positions at least in and around Jordan to shorten the gap between the girls junior team which will improve the quality of the game not only for her but for all current and future players.
